Aintree Pony Camp has been a Germantown tradition since 1992.  Our camp is a wonderful experience your child will never forget.  Geared toward the beginner/advanced-beginner/novice rider, Aintree Pony Camp will teach your child basic horsemanship skills, both on and off the horse.

A Typical Day

Each day beings with an hour lesson by one of our professional staff on one of our safe school horses.  After riding, campers will enjoy horsey arts and crafts and creative learning about horsemanship and barn etiquette.  Each day concludes with a swim in the neighborhood pool - a great ending to a hot day!  (All swimming is absolutely supervised and no horseplay is allowed.)

The week concludes with a Horse Show where each camper will get to show off their new skills.  Parents are welcomed and encouraged to watch.

Louise Byram is known in the Germantown equestrian community as the premier instructor for the new rider.  Louise grew up riding in Memphis and has over 10 years of experience teaching here at Aintree.

Erica Momrow is an experienced teacher and rider; known for her patience and belief in good solid horsemanship.  Erica has taught at Aintree since moving here in 2003.

Jody Becker specializes in the tiniest of our riders.  Jody is a native of Memphis who has ridden her whole life!  Jody has also worked at St. Jude and LeBonheur as a pediatric nurse.

Louise, Erica and Jody are fun to work with and are incredible teachers!

What Should You Bring?

• Bag lunch and plenty of water
• Swimsuit, towel, sunscreen and a change of clothes each day
• Each Camper should come to camp dressed in long pants with appropriate footwear.  (Paddock boots preferred)  We can provide a helmet.
• We will provide a personalized Aintree Pony Camp t-shirt that each Camper will get to tie-dye!

$400/week (We offer a $100 discount for a second child who is a family member.)
