SPRING MILL NEWS

Just a reminder…you will receive an email notice 1-2 weeks prior to your horse being shod.  Please be sure you check your email regularly for these notices.  Please have a check here prior to your horse being shod.  All of our farriers and miscellaneous venders expect to be paid the day your horse is worked on.  Please be considerate and have a check here prior to you horse participate in this year.  ENTRIES CLOSE FOR ALL FIVE WEEKS ON JANUARY17, 2008!!!!  With the holidays and all the chaos that goes along with the season, January 17th will be upon us before you know it, so be the early bird and get those entries in EARLY!!!  Week one is February 13 – 17th,2008 (we would go down on February 10th or 11th), week two is February 18 – 24th, week three is February 25 – March 2nd, week four is March 3 – 9th, and week five is March 10 – 16th.  Please submit a PRE-PAID stall check and a BLANK entry check with each week’s entry.  If you want a stall and a half, make sure I know who you are sharing with and indicate 2 stalls on your entry (whoever shares with you will need to reimburse you for their portion of the stall and a half).  As with all Classic Company shows, shavings are a separate deal and will not be included on your bill so I will need a blank shavings/feed check which I will keep separate from your entry form.  This year, the Classic Company requires that each competitor fill out a w-9 form for the IRS to be submitted with their entry form.   I have blank entries and blank w-9 forms in the office, so please see me to get your w-9!  If you are using a prize list entry blank, the w-9 is on the back of that entry.  As we did last year, I will be sending out a letter concerning our “pre-pay” deposit for the winter circuit.  The deposit of $500.00 per horse is required and will be deducted off your first week’s show bill from Spring Mill Farm.  Please make the check out to Spring Mill Farm and get it to me no later than February 4, 2008.  Thanks and good luck to all!

Keep working on getting your new USEF/USHJA 2008 membership cards for you and your equine partner, and make sure I get a copy of those cards too for the horse show bible.  I have posted a list on the top barn office door of all our exhibitors, and if your name is checked off, then I have a copy of your card.  If you are not checked off, then I STILL NEED TO GET YOUR NEW CARDS!  If you have given me a temporary copy, once you get your permanent card, bring me a copy of that too.

Thanks!
Caroline
