Ashley Hotz

Ashley Hotz is the most recent addition to the Spring Mill team, joining us in September, 2015. She joins us with extensive show experience at top level Hunter/Jumper shows.

Growing up in New Jersey, Ashley began riding and competing in horse shows at a young age before moving to train with Louise Serio in Kennett Square, PA, and finishing her junior career with ribbons in the junior hunters and equitation in Wellington, Devon, and national indoor finals.

To continue riding competitively, Ashley stayed in south Florida for college. She earned her business degree from Florida Atlantic University in 2011, while also bringing along and competing her horse "Summer Catch." Ashley was the top score amateur in the Handy Round aboard Summer Catch in her first appearance in the International Hunter Derby Finals in 2012.

Ashley has spent her junior and amateur careers buying and making up young horses. In 2013, Ashley began riding as a professional and has since continued success up through the regular working hunters at horse shows including WEF, Devon, Captial Challenge, Pennsylvania National, and the National Horse Show.

For the past two years, Ashley has been riding for Havens Schatt and gained invaluable experience both in and out of the show ring, which included a Circuit Championship in Wellington in the 2015 season.
